Aubusson Rugs

Aubusson rugs were first introduced in the 17th century when weavers began to create carpets and tapestries for royal castles in France. As new monarchs came to power, new designs reflected the styles and pastimes of the era. Named after the town of their birth, these handwoven flat-weave carpets were tightly woven, using only the best quality of New Zealand wools on horizontal looms. Always employing the same traditional techniques, the designs and colour combination are carefully selected to furnish your every requirement.
